| Xanga...we've come a long way.
I was browsing through one of my friends Facebooks and there was a part of his Facebook where he wrote a couple movie reviews. I got the sudden urge to do a movie review myself. I figured, that movie reviews are quite useful because they can prevent you from wasting $10 or giving you quite a good time for $10.
Now, I'm hoping that this doesn't just end at one movie review, but that it would continue on and eventually I would start giving feedback on music, television shows, etc.
When I was a kid, I loved superheroes. I mean, what kid didn't love superheroes. And I will have to say that Iron Man was one of my favorite superheroes growing up because he's just too cool. I don't know what it is about superheroes who actually aren't "super," (i.e. Batman) but they are the coolest. But this is one movie that I really wanted to see.
I had high expectations for this movie, and I would have to say that my expectations were met. Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. Some critics were quite skeptical about Downey Jr. playing Iron Man, but hey he pulled it off, and pulled it off well. The CGI in the movie was terrific and Iron Man was portrayed perfectly. His ability to fly, his indestructible suit (even though it does get trashed), missiles, etc. Iron Man's traits were shown. It was great. And not only was Iron Man great, the story was great, and the ending (as in the ending after the credits), left such a cliff-hanger. I loved it. The common trend I was seeing from the past handful of superhero movies was that there was a whole lot of story, but not much action. But Iron Man had a good blend of story, action, and even some humor.
Overall, this movie is definitely a must watch. Every dollar of the $10 spent on the movie ticket is worth it. Go watch the movie. And for you ladies out there or non-Comic book readers, I still recommend this movie for all of you because it's just an enjoyable movie to watch.
